Despite including the above scene, the cinematic adaptation of Eric Powell's
AMAZINGLY GOOD (seriously) comic book series,
The Goon,
is no more. (UPDATE:
PSYCHE!)According to Paul Giamatti, who was slated to play the Goon's smart-assed, blank-eyed sidekick Frankie, the production ran out of money. Sad news, but at least the comics are still there. Check them out at
Dark Horse Digital.
Hit the jump for the awesome promotional trailer that was put together to sell
The Goon on investors.
I have a feeling this won't be the last we hear from
The Goon in movie form. It's too cool for Hollywood to pass up.
